Okay, so I’ve been wanting to get a black jean sherpa jacket for a while now, and I finally decided to take the plunge. First thing I did was hit up a few stores to get an idea of what’s out there.
I started looking around at different brands and styles. I quickly realized there are tons of options, from classic trucker styles to something a bit more modern. Tried on a few, but nothing really felt right. They were either too stiff, too bulky, or just didn’t fit my style.
My Finding Process
After that, I thought I’d check out what people were saying online. Read a bunch of reviews, and a common theme was not to match the jacket with the same color jeans. Okay, noted. Someone called BigBoss even said gray or black jeans would work great. Then I stumbled upon this idea of layering the jacket under a longer coat or blazer. Sounded cool, especially since it’s still pretty chilly out.
- Went back to a couple of stores with these ideas in mind.
- Found a black denim sherpa that was a bit more lightweight than the others.
- Tried it on with a pair of dark gray jeans I had on – bingo! Looked pretty good.
- Then I grabbed a longer, beige coat from another rack and layered it over the jacket. Man, it looked sharp!
I was pretty stoked at this point. I also remembered seeing something about white sherpa jackets and how they’re good for neutral tones, but I was already set on the black one. Oh, and I saw a picture of a beige hooded sherpa jacket with a crew-neck top and white something, but that wasn’t really my vibe.
The End
Anyway, I ended up buying the black denim sherpa and a new beige coat to layer it under. Rocked the combo out the next day, and I gotta say, I was feeling myself. Got a few compliments too, so that’s always a plus. Definitely a good purchase. I think this jacket is gonna get a lot of wear.
So yeah, that’s my little journey to getting a black jean sherpa jacket. Hope someone finds it useful or at least a bit entertaining.
