Alright, guys, so I’ve been trying to get more magnesium into my diet lately. You know how it is, gotta keep those muscles and nerves happy, right? So, I thought I’d share my little experiment with you all today. I decided to make a magnesium shake, and let me tell you, it wasn’t as straightforward as I thought it’d be.
First things first, I gathered my ingredients. I grabbed some spinach ’cause, hey, gotta get those greens in, right? Then, a banana for some sweetness and potassium. I also added a spoonful of almond butter for that creamy texture and healthy fats. I tossed in some fresh ginger ’cause I like that little zing it gives. And, of course, the star of the show, the magnesium powder. I found this stuff online, and it seemed legit. Lastly, I poured in some almond milk. I figured it would blend everything together nicely. I added a handful of ice to get that smoothie-like consistency.
Mixing it all
Now, onto the blending part. I dumped everything into my blender and hit the button. I watched it all whirl around, and at first, it seemed okay. But then I noticed it was way too thick. Like, I could probably eat it with a spoon thick. So, I added a bit more almond milk, hoping to thin it out. I blended it again, and it got a little better, but it was still pretty thick. I kept adding more almond milk, little by little, until it reached a consistency that I thought I could drink without choking.
Tasting Time
Finally, it was time for the taste test. I poured it into a glass and took a sip. Honestly? It wasn’t bad. The banana and almond butter definitely helped mask the taste of the spinach and magnesium powder. The ginger gave it a nice little kick. It was creamy, it was sweet, and it was definitely filling. I drank the whole thing, feeling pretty good about myself for getting all that magnesium in one go.
The Aftermath
I started to find the best amount of Magnesium Water for me. I started with a half cup, which contains 90mg of magnesium. I will gradually increase the dose in the future.
So, that’s my magnesium shake story. It wasn’t perfect, but I think I’m on the right track. I’ll probably keep experimenting with different ingredients and ratios until I find the perfect blend. If any of you have your own magnesium shake recipes or tips, feel free to share them! I’m always up for trying something new.
