Well, ain’t this somethin’? Monopoly GO! and Girl Power. Never thought I’d see the day. Them fancy folks comin’ up with all sorts of games. Monopoly? I remember playin’ that when I was a young’un. Always wanted to be the banker. Kept all the money in one place, ya know?

So this Girl Power thing? Heard they got rewards and milestones. Sounds complicated. Rewards? For what, playin’ a game? Back in my day, the reward was not gettin’ yelled at for wastin’ time. Milestones? Like walkin’ all the way to the store and back without forgettin’ what ya went for?

Milestone 1: Somethin’ somethin’ about startin’. You always gotta start somewhere, I guess. Like plantin’ seeds. You ain’t gettin’ no tomatoes without puttin’ ’em in the ground first.
Milestone 2: Keep on goin’. That’s what they always say, ain’t it? Just like makin’ a quilt. One patch at a time.
Milestone 3: Ooh, a prize! Well, look at that. Probably some shiny trinket. Kids these days love that stuff. Like my grandson with them little cars.
Milestone 4: More work. Nothin’ comes easy, I tell ya. Gotta knead that dough if you want good bread.
Milestone 5: Another prize. Must be doin’ somethin’ right. Maybe they’ll give ya a whole set of dishes if you keep goin’.

They say there’s a time limit on this Girl Power thing. Duration, they call it. Like when the biscuits are in the oven. Gotta take ’em out before they burn. Don’t wanna burn them biscuits. Or those rewards, whatever they are.

Now, Monopoly. That game’s all about money, ain’t it? Buyin’ up everything. Reminds me of that big fella who tried to buy up all the land ’round here. Ended up sellin’ it all back for a loss. Serves him right. Don’t go bitin’ off more’n you can chew.

Girl Power. What’s that even mean? Gettin’ the girls all riled up? We always had power. Kept the house runnin’, didn’t we? Cooked the meals, washed the clothes. Maybe they need some rewards for that. A new washin’ machine wouldn’t go amiss.

Them milestones. Sounds like a long road. Life’s full of milestones, I suppose. Birthin’ babies, watchin’ ’em grow. Seein’ ’em off to school. Then they grow up and play Monopoly GO! and earn Girl Power rewards. Go figure.

Available rewards. That’s a fancy way of sayin’ what you can get. Like lookin’ at the catalog and pickin’ out what ya want for Christmas. Only you gotta earn it this time. No Santa Claus handin’ out freebies.

Check it out, they say. Well, I’m lookin’. Don’t see much that interests me. Maybe if they gave away a good cast iron skillet. Now that’s a reward worth workin’ for. Or a year’s supply of flour. Imagine all the bread you could make.

So there ya have it. Girl Power in Monopoly GO! Rewards and milestones. A whole to-do. Guess it keeps the young’uns busy. Better than sittin’ around doin’ nothin’, I suppose. Just like makin’ a quilt. Gotta keep them hands busy.
