Okay, so, I’ve been thinking a lot about my hair lately. It was getting kinda scraggly, you know? Split ends everywhere, just not looking its best. I heard that trimming your hair is good for it, so I decided to give it a shot. I mean, I’ve always been a bit hesitant about cutting my hair. I like it long, but those split ends were really starting to bug me.
First, I did some reading. Apparently, trimming doesn’t make your hair grow faster, but it stops the split ends from traveling up the hair and making things worse. That made sense to me. And it looked like every three months is the way to go for trims.
So, I made an appointment with my usual hairdresser. She’s great, always does a good job. I told her I just wanted a trim, to get rid of the split ends and make my hair look healthier. She totally got it. She washed my hair, and then started snipping away.
- Washed my hair. Always a nice way to start.
- Started sectioning my hair, little by little.
- Trimmed off the ends, just a little bit, focusing on the areas that looked the most damaged.
- Checked to make sure everything was even. You don’t want one side longer than the other.
- Gave it a quick blow-dry and style.
Here’s what she did:
Honestly, it didn’t take long at all. And let me tell you, my hair felt so much better afterward. It was smoother, looked shinier, and just felt lighter and healthier. Plus, seeing all those split ends gone was such a relief. It actually made my hair look longer, even though she only took off a little bit of length.
Now, I’m a convert. I’m definitely going to keep up with regular trims. It’s such a small thing, but it makes a big difference. My hair looks and feels so much better. I also made my next appointment in advance to ensure I could do it timely.
So, yeah, that’s my hair trimming story. If you’re on the fence about it, I say go for it. Your hair will thank you!
