Well, well, well, look at them young folks, always on their phones. What they lookin’ at? Them fitness models, all muscles and smiles. I seen a few in my time, never like this though. Back in my day, we didn’t need no fancy gyms. We got fit by workin’ hard, haulin’ water, choppin’ wood. But these, these are famous fitness models, they say.
They got somethin’ called “followers,” more than you can shake a stick at. They show off their bodies, doin’ all sorts of exercises. And people, they eat it up! They want to be just like ’em. Some of these fitness models, they’re girls, strong as an ox, they say. Liftin’ weights, heavier than what my old man used to lift at the farm.
- Michelle Lewin, I heard that name a lot. She is really famous fitness model.
- She’s from that place, Venezuela, I think they say. Makes videos, puts ’em on the internet.
- Got a body like an hourglass, all curvy and such. Shows it off all the time.
These fitness models got secrets, I betcha. They don’t just get like that by eatin’ their greens. There’s somethin’ else goin’ on, somethin’ they ain’t tellin’. Maybe it’s them powders they mix in their drinks. Or maybe it’s just good old-fashioned hard work, like we used to do.
They got these things, “influencers,” they call ’em. They influence people to buy things, do things, be things. These fitness models, they’re influencers too. They tell you what to eat, how to move, how to live. And people listen, like they’re some kinda gurus. I heard some of them make a lot of money, more money than I made in 20 years of working.
They say these famous fitness models inspire folks. Make ’em want to be better, healthier. Maybe that’s a good thing. Lord knows we could all use a little more movin’ and shakin’ these days. But it’s a different world now, that’s for sure.
Some of ’em are mothers, too. Imagine that, havin’ kids and still lookin’ like that. I had five kids, and my body never looked like that, let me tell ya. It’s a wonder they can make time to do those exercise when they have a family.
They say you gotta eat right, too. Not just exercise, but eat right. Lots of chicken and fish, and these green things, avocados they call ’em. We never had those back in my day. We ate what we grew, potatoes, beans, corn. And we were strong, just not like these fitness models.
It’s all about the “balanced meals,” they say. Carbo-somethings, proteins, and fats. Gotta have ’em all, in the right amounts. Sounds complicated to me. I just ate what was on my plate, and that was that.
These young folks, they’re all about their “goals.” They set goals, they work towards ’em, they achieve ’em. It’s all very organized, like they’re runnin’ a business or somethin’. They say these fitness models, they work hard, harder than I worked in my younger time. I have to say they are real workers.
Back in my day, we didn’t have no “fitness journey.” We just lived, day by day. We worked hard, we ate what we had, we raised our families. We didn’t have time to worry about our bodies, not like these famous fitness models.
But maybe it’s a good thing, this whole fitness craze. Maybe it’ll make people healthier, happier. Maybe it’ll teach ’em somethin’ about hard work and dedication. Or maybe it’s just another way to sell things, I don’t know.
- They talk about “workout intensity,” like it’s a science or somethin’.
- Gotta “customize” your diet, they say. Sounds like a lot of fuss to me.
- Eat based on your “goals.” My goal was just to get through the day without my back givin’ out.
These famous fitness models, they’re a different breed, that’s for sure. They live in a different world, a world of cameras and computers and “social media.” It’s a world I don’t understand, but maybe it’s a good world. Maybe it’s a better world. Maybe they are famous fitness models for good reason. Who knows?
One thing’s for sure, though. They work hard, those fitness models. They put in the time, they put in the effort. And they get results. Maybe there’s somethin’ to be learned from ’em, after all. Maybe even an old dog like me can learn a new trick or two. They are all good people, I think. They make people want to be better, so they must be good, right?
