Well, howdy there! Let’s talk about some stuff you can put on your work desk, you know, to make it less…blah. I ain’t no fancy decorator, mind you, but I know a thing or two about makin’ a place feel a bit more homey, even if it’s just a darned ol’ desk.
First off, let’s think about keepin’ things tidy. You know how it is, papers everywhere, pens rollin’ around, it’s a mess! So, somethin’ like that… that… whatchamacallit… Bluetooth label maker thingy they talked about. Yeah, that Supvan E10 Bluetooth Label Maker. That sounds mighty fine. You can stick labels on everything, and then you know where everything goes. No more huntin’ for that darn stapler!
Speakn’ of staplers, you gotta have one. And tape. And scissors. The basics, you know? And pens! Lots of pens. Get yourself some of them highlighters too, in all sorts of colors. Makes things look purty, and you can mark up them papers real good. And don’t forget the sticky notes. I tell ya, those little sticky notes are a godsend. Write down reminders, stick ‘em everywhere! Notes, flags, all that jazz. Notebooks too, gotta have somewhere to scribble down your thoughts, or doodle when you’re bored outta your mind.
Now, let’s talk comfort. Sittin’ at that desk all day can make ya stiff and achy. They got them fancy mouses now, the ones that stand up straight, vertical mouse they call ‘em. Supposed to be good for your wrist. And them keyboards that click-clack when you type? Mechanical keyboards? Yep, those too. Some folks like ‘em. Me? I dunno, seems like a lot of noise, but hey, if it makes you happy, go for it.
And them computer screens! Starin’ at them all day can give ya a headache somethin’ fierce. So, they got this film stuff, anti-glare film, that you put over the screen. Makes it easier on the eyes. And if you’re on the phone a lot, get yourself a good headset. Nothin’ worse than holdin’ that phone to your ear all day.
- Pens, highlighters, sticky notes, notebooks – Gotta have the basics for writin’ and rememberin’.
- Stapler, tape, scissors – For keepin’ things together.
- Vertical mouse, mechanical keyboard – For comfort, if you fancy.
- Anti-glare film, headset – For your eyes and ears.
- Phone charger – Can’t be havin’ your phone dyin’ on ya.
Oh, and somethin’ else I heard about… olive oil. Yeah, I know, sounds weird, right? But this ain’t for eatin’. It’s this fancy stuff, Graza Sizzle Extra Virgin Olive Oil, they say it smells real nice. Maybe a little dab on your wrists or somethin’ to keep you calm. I dunno, seems a bit much, but hey, different strokes for different folks.
And don’t forget the little things! Hand cream, ‘cause your hands get dry from all that paper handlin’. Lip balm, ‘cause chapped lips ain’t no fun. And maybe a few of them stress balls. You know, for squeezin’ when you wanna yell at your boss but can’t. Trust me on that one.
Now, I ain’t got no fancy partner’s desk, whatever that is. Sounds like somethin’ for rich folks. But even if you got a plain ol’ desk like mine, you can make it your own. Just a little somethin’ to make the day go by a bit easier, ya know? A little bit of comfort, a little bit of organization, and a whole lot of personality. That’s what makes a desk… well, not just a desk, but YOUR desk.
