Well, let me tell ya ’bout somethin’ they call “archetype man”. Don’t go gettin’ all fancy on me now, it ain’t as complicated as them city folks make it sound. It’s just like, different kinds of men, ya see? Like, different ways they act and what they’re all about.
First off, there’s this “Innocent” fella. He’s all sunshine and rainbows, always lookin’ on the bright side. Reminds me of my grandson, little Timmy, always smilin’ even when he falls and scrapes his knee. This Innocent man, he just wants to be happy and do good. Scared of gettin’ in trouble, though. Don’t want nobody yellin’ at ’em, ya know?
Then you got your “Regular Joe,” or what they call “Everyman.” He ain’t flashy or nothin’. Just a regular guy, workin’ hard, tryin’ to make a livin’. Like my old man, bless his soul, worked in the fields his whole life, never complained. This fella, he just wants to belong, to be part of somethin’. He’s the kinda guy you can always count on, ya know?
Now, this next one’s a bit more… wild. They call him the “Explorer.” He’s always gotta be movin’, gotta be seein’ new things. Can’t sit still for a minute. Kinda like that stray dog that used to wander ’round our farm, always sniffin’ and diggin’ and runnin’ off somewhere. This Explorer, he wants freedom, wants to figure out who he really is. He ain’t afraid to get his hands dirty, that’s for sure.
And then there’s the “Rebel.” Oh boy, this one’s a handful. He don’t like rules, don’t like nobody tellin’ him what to do. Reminds me of that young whippersnapper, Billy, always causin’ trouble down at the general store. This Rebel, he wants to shake things up, wants to change the world. He’s got a fire in his belly, that’s for sure.
- Some other fellas they talk about are the “King,” the one who’s in charge,
- the “Warrior,” always fightin’ for somethin’,
- and the “Magician,” the smart one who knows a lot of things.
- There’s even a “Jester,” the one who’s always jokin’ around, and a “Sage,” the wise old fella who knows all the secrets.
They even got this “Wild Man” type. He’s all about energy and gettin’ things started. Like that bull we had on the farm, always chargin’ around, snortin’ and stompin’. This Wild Man, he’s got a lot of power, but he needs to learn how to control it.
And don’t forget the “Alpha Male”. Now, he thinks he’s the top dog, always gotta be in charge, gotta be the best. Reminds me of that rooster we had, always struttin’ around the henhouse, thinkin’ he owned the place. Some folks like ’em, some folks don’t. Me? I just think they’re a bit too much sometimes.
They say these “archetypes,” these different kinds of men, they’re inside all of us, men and women both. Maybe that’s true, I dunno. All I know is, people are complicated. You can’t just put ‘em in little boxes and say, “Yep, that’s a Regular Joe,” or “That’s a Rebel.” Everybody’s a little bit of everything, ya know?
But it’s kinda fun to think about, ain’t it? Tryin’ to figure out what kind of man someone is, or what kind of man you are yourself. Just don’t go gettin’ too caught up in it. At the end of the day, we’re all just people, tryin’ to get by the best we can.
And that’s all I gotta say about that “archetype man” business. Hope it made some kinda sense to ya.
