Okay, guys, let’s talk about this “energy packets for water” thing. I saw them at the store the other day and thought, “What’s the deal with these?” So, naturally, I grabbed a few different kinds to try out. I mean, who doesn’t need a little extra boost sometimes, right?
First off, I picked up some of those Nectar Hydration Packets, the ones that brag about having no sugar or calories. The variety pack was, like, 36 bucks! Pretty steep, but I figured it was worth a shot. Then I saw these PURE KICK Energy And Hydrate packets for only 9 bucks, so I tossed those in my cart, too. And just for kicks, I also got some Generic Propel Powder Packets for around 24 dollars. I mean, why not, it was right next to the brand name stuff on the shelf.
Experimenting with My Finds
- Taste Test Time: I started with the Nectar ones. Mixed one into my water bottle, and honestly, it wasn’t bad. Not too sweet, which is good because I’m not big on sugary drinks. Then I tried the PURE KICK packet. That one had a bit more of a kick to it, definitely more flavor. The Propel one was okay, kind of what you’d expect, nothing crazy.
- Energy Check: This is where it got interesting. I used the Nectar packet before my morning workout, and I did feel a bit more hydrated and ready to go. No crazy energy rush, but I wasn’t dragging. The PURE KICK one I tried in the afternoon when I usually hit that slump. I will say, I felt a definite boost! I don’t know if it was as good as a real energy drink but it definitely perked me up without feeling too jittery. With the propel I did not feel so much the effects of an energy boost, more like normal water.
- Price vs. Performance: Now, here’s the thing. The Nectar packets are pricey. Are they worth 36 bucks? I’m not totally convinced. The PURE KICK ones, though, at 9 bucks? Those are a steal for what they do. The Propel ones are in the middle, and they’re fine, but nothing to write home about.
So, after my little experiment, I’ve got some thoughts. These energy packets are cool if you want to jazz up your water and get a little something extra. They’re not going to replace your morning coffee or a full-blown energy drink, but they’re a nice alternative. I mean, they have these natural ingredients like organic green tea and some other stuff that is supposed to boost stamina, which I guess is cool.
If you’re on a budget, those PURE KICK packets are the way to go. If you’re feeling fancy or really care about the whole no-sugar thing, maybe give the Nectar ones a try. And the Propel ones? Well, they’re there if you want them. Also I found these Rockstar Pure Zero for $1.99 that was also pretty nice.
At the end of the day, it’s all about what you like and what your body needs. I’m just some guy who tried some stuff and wanted to share. Hope this helps you out if you’re curious about these energy water things!
And hey if you are really looking for a boost, one of these energy drinks, I think it’s called Bang Energy Drink, has 300 mg of caffeine, which is a lot! I haven’t tried it but it sounds intense.
Alright, that’s it for my experiment, hope you found this interesting, I’ll keep you posted on the next one!
