Well, let me tell you somethin’ about what these fellas like nowadays. It’s all over the place, you know? But you see a lot of folks talkin’ ’bout men like skinny women. Seems like the boys today, they all chasin’ after them skinny gals. Ain’t like the old days, that’s for sure.
I heard some folks sayin’ it’s ’cause skinny means healthy. Now, I don’t know ’bout all that. Back in my day, a little meat on your bones meant you was eatin’ good, meant you was strong. These young’uns today, they all worried ’bout bein’ thin like them models in the magazines. They say men find thinner women attractive, that they look young and all that stuff.
I reckon it’s true that some men like that. They want a gal who looks like she just stepped off one of them fancy magazine covers. They think them skinny women is more pretty, I guess. I seen it with my own two eyes, these young boys chasin’ after gals skinny as a rail. They say it’s ’cause those girls look young, like they ain’t got no problems, you know? Like they could have babies easy and all that. Some of those science people even say there are numbers that show men like women who are skinny. They call it “B-M-I” or something like that.
- Some fellas, they like a gal with a little more to hold onto.
- But these days, seems like more and more, they want them skinny.
- They say it means she’s healthy, can have babies easy.
- They say skinny women look younger, more pretty.
Now, I ain’t sayin’ it’s right or wrong. Just sayin’ what I see. And what I see is a whole lot of these young’uns tryin’ to be skinny ’cause they think that’s what the boys want. They skip meals, countin’ them calories like it’s gold. It ain’t healthy, I tell ya. They say a woman’s body should be a certain way for men to like her. That’s just silly.
I remember when I was a young gal, men liked a woman who could work hard, who could cook a good meal, who could raise a family. Didn’t matter if you was skinny or had some meat on your bones. What mattered was you was strong, you was kind, you was a good person. They looked at your heart, not just your belly. If your belly is ok with the rest of your body, that is good, right?
But these days, it’s all about how you look. And these young gals, they takin’ it to heart. They think they gotta be skinny to be loved. That’s what them TV shows and magazines tell ’em. Men like skinny women, that’s all you hear. It’s like they think a woman ain’t worth nothin’ unless she’s skinny as a toothpick. Some people even say that men like women with big hips and such, that it means they can have babies. But mostly they talk about being skinny.
I seen some of them physical traits men find most attractive lists. They got all sorts of things on there. But you know what’s always at the top? Bein’ skinny. It’s a shame, really. A woman’s worth more than her waist size.
Now, I ain’t sayin’ all men are like that. I know some good men, men who appreciate a woman for who she is, not just what she looks like. But it’s hard for these young gals today. They got all these pictures and messages tellin’ ’em they ain’t good enough unless they’re skinny. They think men want the skinny model, like those girls who don’t eat.
I just hope these young’uns learn to love themselves for who they are. Skinny, not skinny, it don’t matter. What matters is you’re healthy, you’re happy, you’re kind. That’s what real beauty is. Not this skinny stuff they’re all chasin’ after. It is true that some men like curvy women too. They are not all the same.
It’s a crazy world we live in, I tell ya. But I still believe that real love, real appreciation, that comes from the heart, not from the size of your jeans. So, these young gals, they need to remember that. They need to remember their worth, and not let nobody tell ’em they ain’t good enough just ’cause they ain’t skinny. They say there are studies, like data collected from scientists, saying men like skinny women more. But who cares about those studies anyway?
If a fella only likes you ’cause you’re skinny, then he ain’t worth your time anyway. You find yourself a man who loves you for you, inside and out. That’s the kind of man you want. Not these boys chasin’ after some magazine idea of what a woman should be. That’s what I always say. If you ask me, being healthy is better than being skinny. And being kind is better than both. The most important thing is to be yourself. I think that’s all that really matters. Don’t try to be like those skinny women in the magazines, just be yourself, you hear?
